Humans of ASFM: Daniel Rubies
Starting his senior year, Daniel Rubies is a changed man. The “weird tall guy with the shorts” you catch in the corner of your eye in the hallways can commonly be found visiting abandoned buildings or construction sites, mastering computer science, or playing the flute. Or the trumpet. Or the piano. Or the guitar. Or the marimba.
Other than being among the best multi-instrumentalists in the school, Rubies has also taken over five AP courses, including: AP Calculus AB and AP Language and Composition. Although his mathematics and language skills are nothing short of genius, they do not compare to the strength of the friendships he has built around him. Next time you see him suddenly walk into your classroom, don’t forget to say hi to the first Human of ASFM.
